Caleb Branch Named Executive Director

Caleb Branch announced as the new Executive Director.

The Alabama 911 Board is proud to announce the selection and hiring of Caleb Branch as the new Executive Director of the Alabama 911 Board.

Caleb was selected by the Alabama 911 Board of Directors to succeed Leah Missildine, whose retirement became official on March 1, 2026.  Leah served as Executive Director for more than a decade. During her tenure, she was widely recognized as a national leader in 911 and helped position Alabama as the gold standard for 911 systems across the country.  Her leadership, vision, and dedication to the 911 community have left a lasting impact on our state and the nation.

Caleb brings more than a decade of experience in Emergency Communications and nearly two decades in Public Safety.  Caleb began his career working on an ambulance and in dispatch, gaining firsthand experience in the critical role of 911 and field response.  He later served as the Blount County, Alabama 911 Director before transitioning to the private sector with INdigital, where he served as Vice President of Market Management. This experience at the local, operational, and executive levels gives him a well-rounded perspective on the challenges and opportunities facing 911 today.

The Alabama 911 Board looks forward to Caleb’s leadership as we continue strengthening emergency communications across our state and building on the strong foundation established under Leah’s leadership.

Please join us in congratulating Caleb Branch on his selection as Executive Director of the Alabama 911 Board.
