Shawn Rogers serves as the Director of Emergency Management and 9-1-1 Administrator for Cherokee County, Alabama, bringing decades of experience across law enforcement, fire service, and emergency management. Beginning his career in Georgia and joining Cherokee County in 2005, he rose through the ranks of the Sheriff’s Office before transitioning to specialized investigative units and later being appointed as the Director of Emergency Management in 2017. He continues to lead in the fire service, including as former municipal fire chief of Cedar Bluff, and oversees day-to-day operations of Cherokee County 9-1-1. Shawn has held prominent statewide leadership roles, including President of the Alabama Association of 911 Districts, Chair of the Alabama State 911 Legislative Committee, and President of the North Alabama Emergency Management Mutual Assistance Association. Nationally, he was appointed to the FirstNet Authority Emergency Management Cohort, contributing to broadband integration in emergency services.
