Today, Board staff was joined by Melinda Shonk, Director of the City of Montgomery 911, and Kelly Armor, Deputy Director of the Morgan County 9-1-1 to discuss recruitment, retention, & center culture. Staffing is a problem throughout many industries but has hit 9-1-1 hard. Melinda and Kelly provided a lot of information on ways to overcome the problem. Some require some monetary investment but many were either free or very low cost.
