Geneva County 911 is accepting applications for Full Time 911 Telecommunicators dispatching for Police, Fire & EMS and Answering emergency and non emergency calls. Starting pay is $15.09/hour!
*****This position requires working night shifts weekend shifts and holidays****
REQUIREMENTS:
* Demonstrate the ability to act and think clearly in emergency or pressure situations
* Possess the skills or abilities necessary to operate radio communications equipment and telephone systems
* Have computer skills and ability to learn Computer Aided Dispatch (CAD) programs
* Ability to read a map
* Possess clear oral communications skills
* Must possess a High School Diploma or GED
* Have not been convicted of a felony or other crimes involving moral turpitude
* Valid Driver Licenses * Be available to work days, nights, weekends, holidays and overtime
* Must be at least 19 Years of age
* Must pass a pre-employment drug screening
* Must pass a pre-employment test
* All new hire employees are subject to a 6 month probationary status
* A background investigation will be conducted on all applicants considered for employment.
